Sentence examples for fragmentation of consensus from inspiring English sources

Exact(1)

These results raised the question of whether these differences were an artifact of increased fragmentation of consensus sequences by RepeatScout in the two genome assemblies of lesser quality (C. remanei and C. brenneri) or whether they reflected true biological differences in the amount and diversity of TEs among the three nematodes.

Similar(11)

The combination of the Category 2 submissions resulted in even better overall performance than each individual method, indicating the complementarity of the approaches and supporting the potential use of consensus fragmentation results as has been shown earlier for fragmenters [12, 52] and also recently for toxicity modeling using a more sophisticated weighting than that attempted here [53].

To test for the effect of consensus fragmentation, we examined the length of the consensus sequence reconstructed by RepeatScout and classified by REPCLASS for each TE subclasses (table 1 B ).

Assuming that TEs from the same subclass have comparable size in all Drosophila species, these data suggest that the rate of consensus fragmentation is about twice as high in D. pseudoobscura as in the other two genomes.

Thus, the larger number of TE families observed in C. remanei and C. brenneri does not appear to be an artifact of consensus fragmentation but rather reflects an increased diversity of non-LTR, DNA, and Helitron elements in these two species.

Although progress has been made in assembling heterochromatic regions in D. melanogaster (Hoskins et al. 2007; Smith, Shu, et al. 2007), these areas are likely to be poorly resolved in the D. pseudoobscura and D. virilis draft assemblies, which further increases the likelihood of consensus fragmentation by RepeatScout.

In that fragmentation, there is an increasing lack of consensus about the global way forward.

Despite lack of consensus, there is a growing body of literature supporting the overwhelmingly negative consequences of habitat loss and fragmentation on terrestrial biodiversity worldwide.

Lack of consensus reigns.

But there are multiple levels of consensus.
