CM was added at a 1 : 10 (v/v) ratio to B cells (unmodified and filtered, boiled, or size-fractionated, respectively).
Particularly, sample B exhibits better toughness, higher molecular weight and slight lower flexural properties than sample A. Then, these two samples were fractionated into six fractions via temperature rising dissolution fractionation, respectively.
The supernatant was subjected to ultracentrifugation at 59 000 rev./min TLA-120.2 TLA-120.2orotor and forther fractionated into the intermembrane space and outer membrane fractions respectively.

Gradients were fractionated with fraction collector Model 2128 (Biorad).
The polymers were fractionated by fractional precipitation.
