Following analysis of the E. coli ribosome, a significantly more complex mixture, an S. cerevisiae whole cell lysate, was fractionated based on molecular weight and the resulting fractions were analyzed by LC MS/MS to demonstrate the utility of UVPD for high-throughput characterization.
