Small, sleepy towns throughout the hilly, unglaciated terrain of southwestern Wisconsin have found their topography changed overnight as frac-sand companies move in, strip away vegetation, soils, and the golden bedrock, and move on.
We found that topography had a more pronounced effect on polarization (68% increase over controls) compared to immobilized NGF (0.1 ng/mm27%(27% increase).
In addition, it was found that topography affects the direction of inclination which in this case was mostly toward the river location.
