The phrase "forum of" is correct and usable in written English
You can use it when referring to a discussion hosted online or in person, or a particular place where an assembly of people gather for the purpose of discussion, such as a boardroom or public square. For example, you could say "I attended a forum of town council members to discuss local issues."
