There were nine two-phase TVET interventions, most of which combined theoretical and practical training, usually in the format of classroom-based vocational training followed by a period of on-the-job training to provide beneficiaries with work experience.
However, two of them (i.e., Lai and Hwang 2016; Wang 2016) compared their flipped classroom with an altered format of flipped classroom rather than a traditional classroom.
Overall, the format of the Flipped Classroom provided more opportunities for students to engage in critical thinking, independently facilitate their own learning, and more effectively interact with and learn from their peers.
To make the most of the MOOC format, our classroom lectures had to be rewritten into a set of modules that succinctly conveyed the subject matter in a format suited for life-long learners from all over the world.
