We are waiting for the clean data.
The effect on mean fixation duration of the flicker simulation is also substantial (Fig. 5f): Mean fixation duration is 471 ms for the clean data, 240 ms for the flicker simulation, and 367 ms for the low precision simulation.
Mean fixation duration returned by our algorithms is 506 ms for the clean data, 480 ms for the flicker simulation, and 424 ms for the low-precision simulation (in contrast to 472 ms/240 ms/367 ms for the standard dispersal algorithms shown in Fig. 5).
This data set was used as the clean data for data pretreatment.
Data pretreatment focuses on the biologically relevant information by emphasizing different aspects in the clean data, for instance, the metabolite concentration under a growth condition relative to the average concentration, or relative to the biological range of that metabolite.
Each site was responsible for cleaning their data, and the cleaned data was sent to the group coordinator.
To further investigate for effects of population stratification in the cleaned data set, we generated Q–Q plots in our discovery cohort for each of the four analysed traits.

In particular, as also illustrated in Figure 4, localization results obtained after denoising the –15 dB data with CCA, CoM2, and DWT methods are very close to those obtained for original clean data, while the epileptic patch is still mislocalized from the 2T-EMD-denoised data.
We used the best approximation for sequencing technology available (454 GS-FLX) and the empirical values observed for the cleaned sequence data (254 Mbp or 681,722 reads with an average of 372.6 bp/read) to obtain our estimates.
Modeling is an important tool in drug development; population modeling is a complex process requiring robust underlying procedures for ensuring clean data, appropriate computing platforms, adequate resources, and effective communication.
