The ICA with projection (ICAp) method proposed by our group (Hum Brain Mapp 2009 30 417 31) is demonstrated to be able to solve the interactions among task-related components for single subject fMRI data.

These metrics are: the time-and frequency-bandwidth of the wave packet peak (to the dB point of the peak), the frequency center of the wave packet peak, and the percent of energy in the signal above 100 Hz. Figure 4 shows the cross time-frequency distribution of a left and right EMG wave packet for single subject, with the two wave packets represented in both the time and frequency domain.
Significant activations revealed in the group analysis were used as regions of interests (ROIs) for single subject correlation analyses.
