The phrase "for my argument" is grammatically correct and can be used in written English.
It is often used to introduce a justification or explanation for a statement or opinion. Example: "For my argument, I believe that climate change is a pressing issue that needs to be addressed immediately."
For my argument to work, leaders have to have choices.
The starting point for my argument is the concept of life as characterized by self-maintenance.
To wit: I take long walks; I go to the city for society, entertainment, and amorous diversions; and, unfourtunately for my argument, my list ends here.
