The miscibility behaviour of poly 2-fluoroethyl methacrylate) (poly 2-fluoroethyl,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoroisopropyl methacrylate) (P2FEMA) with vandous polymethacrylates was studied by differential scanning calorimetry and for lower critical solution temperature (LCST) behaviour.
We see that as the Allee threshold m increases from 1.98 to 2.05, the Hopf bifurcation is achieved for lower critical values of τ. Figure 6 Stability region exploring the dynamics of the system in the (pmb{(m, tau)}) parameter space.

An interplay of hydrophobicity of the incorporated amino acid residue as well as pH value of the solution were determined as the tunable parameter for the alteration of lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of these block copolymers.
For example, a lower critical thickness in the molten basalt Benchmark D (Fig. 5) might increase the extent of the MOLASSES simulation to match the experimental observations, but it would produce a thinner flow.
At 10% minor phase, the triblock copolymer acts as a more efficient emulsifier than the diblock, as evidenced by the lower equilibrium diameter (0.35 μm for the triblock, as opposed to 0.6 μm for the diblock) and the lower critical concentration for emulsification.
Transmittance measurement for aqueous polymer solutions provided an evidence for temperature-responsiveness with lower critical solution temperature (LCST) in the range of 36 °C 60 °C, depending on the molecular weight of hydrophilic poly ethylene glycol) (PEG) chains, compositions of copolymers, molar ratios of hydrophilic to hydrophobic monomers in the corona, and the hydrophobic core.
Despite the structural similarity between the two polymers, the response of PNIPAM and PAAM to a thermal stimulus is widely different; a coil-to-globule transition is observed for PNIPAM above a lower critical solution temperature (LCST) of 305 K whereas the same is absent in PAAM.
The measurements suggested that larger particles held lower critical temperatures for ignition, which decreased from 1030 to 935 °C for diameters increasing from 6 to 14 mm.
Using this value produces a significantly lower critical velocity for a wide range of fire sizes and therefore it is not conservative.
Once formed these secondary interactions were stable up to the onset of degradation of the blends and there was no evidence of a lower critical temperature for phase separation.
This leads to the earlier onset of the apparent semidilute entangled regime and hence to a lower critical concentration for fiber formation, which decreases by a factor of two.
