Trends in the patterning of joint involvement were strongest by symmetry followed by row and then ray for erosive osteoarthritis and increasing grades of radiographic osteoarthritis, although in erosive joints statistically significant odds were only seen for symmetrical patterning (table 2).
The frequency of joint involvement was examined for erosive osteoarthritis and increasing grades of non-erosive radiographic osteoarthritis by ranking the IPJ in the order that they were most frequency affected, and Spearman rank correlation coefficients were used to compare the rank order.
For both men and women, increasing grades of the FI showed a dose-response effect in relation to survival, with >90% mortality of the most frail (FI > 0.5) by three and a half years whereas the total mortality over the entire observation for the least frail (FI < 0.1) was only 18%.

Grade is a well-established prognostic factor for breast cancer with increasing grade generally being associated with poorer outcome (Soerjomataram et al, 2008).

The large number of trials of different agents, with multiple mechanisms of action, suggest to us that physiological factors are unlikely to account for the increased grade 3/4 toxicity in females although this cannot be ruled out.
For example, the program increased grade progression and graduation rates for proficient 9th graders, but had no effects for their less proficient peers or on younger students.
Across age subgroups, the prevalence of grade 3/4 DRAEs tended to decrease over the course of therapy, with a concurrent trend for increasing prevalence of grade 1/2 DRAEs, suggesting a shift to less-severe toxicity with continued sorafenib treatment.
