For substances with high persistence and bioaccumulation potential, i.e. fulfilling the P and the B criteria, long-term exposure of organisms can be expected, which may cover the whole life-span of the exposed organisms and even several generations.
In addition, CV is listed as a banned drug of aquaculture by many countries for its high toxicity, high persistence, and cancer-causing peculiarities; thus, it is a good choice for the trace detection experiments [18, 19].
