This patient had a type IIIAB2 joint depression fracture, associated with other injuries, had a preoperative Bohler's angle of −20°, and had the lowest score for functional results.
Karlsson et al presented a scoring scale for functional results consisting of categories such as instability, pain, swelling, stiffness, work and sport activities, stair climbing, running, and support.
For the ipilimumab alone groups, the results for functional outcome and symptom scores were comparable, except that those ≥65 years reported more impairment in social function, dyspnea, sleep disturbance, and diarrhea.
The basic requirements for good functional results are to adequately engrave a notch in the preserved thick and compact residual bone stock of the ilium, and to create sufficient tension between the pelvis and the femur by interposing the correct implant length.
We were able to use a ROI from functional imaging data (Mummery et al. 1996) to identify a structural region (the left inferior temporal cortex) as being involved in semantic fluency, and in turn, we used our structural analysis to provide a ROI for the functional results (identifying the left head of caudate and the pre-SMA as being more activated for phonemic than semantic fluency).
Another influential factor for the postoperative functional results is the reconstruction of the physiological articulation and kinematics of the glenohumeral joint [4].
Following the delivery of the prostheses, the patient showed satisfaction both for aesthetic and functional results and reverted to normal life achieving social integration (Fig. 4); he also reduced anxiolithic and antidepressive drug intake according to psychiatric counselling, and he is waiting to gradually stop them definitively.
These two approaches were based on the de novo assembly of transcriptome data available at SustainPineDB, the P. pinaster gene expression database [ 15], and proved to be powerful tools for producing reliable functional results with a good correlation (Fig. 1).
The scores for both cosmetic and functional results were high for the two groups.
For proteins for which there are functional assays, one could predict that databases will be developed with the functional results for all variants detected for specific proteins.
For some cancers of the head and neck, lung, cervix, bladder and prostate, radiotherapy can be used instead of surgery to achieve similar cure but with better functional results (for example, voice preservation for larynx cancers).
