To assess the penetrance of the driver Cre-line we quantified the number of neurons that remained positive for CHAT in ChAT-cKO mice across different cholinergic areas.
ChAT-cKO and wt mice also displayed comparable immunoreactivity for CHAT in other cholinergic brain areas including BF and third cranial nerve (3N).
