Based on the TD-GC/MS results presented in Crespo Sariol et al. (2017b, 2017a), for all the studied GAC samples, the same predominant family of compounds (fatty esters and phenolics) were found in all the GAC-layers but with different relative abundance.
This work is an analytical survey of optimizations of the main algorithm for GAC for the AllDifferent constraint.

The equilibrium adsorption data were assessed via Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherm models for neat GAC, HAP/GAC and HAP/TE/GAC at pH 6.
Specifically, for the bituminous based carbon, while processing natural groundwater that had been spiked with 30 35 ppb perchlorate, and passing this water through rapid small scale column tests, the bed volumes (BV) to 2 ppb perchlorate breakthrough increased from 870 BV for pristine GAC up to 21,000 BV for the corresponding GAC that had been pre-anchored with QUAB360 (360 Da).
The results are shown in Fig. 10 and according to that, the equilibrium concentration was reached for both GAC and HAP/GAC after about 135 min whereas HAP/TE/GAC takes 150 min to reach the equilibrium.
