In New Castle, the developer for Chappaqua Crossing, a proposed development that would include 278 condominiums for residents 55 and older on the former Reader's Digest campus, has decided to wait and is eschewing residential sales altogether.
Subjects include the Puerto Rican Day Parade, the arraignment of a police officer in the killing of Ramarley Graham and a proposed development for the Chelsea Market.
Apart from a name for the proposed development here, Lighthouse Landing, the announcement today at Village Hall, which included General Motors executives and state and county officials, was short on specifics.
A spokesman for Glasgow City Council was less chatty when I called, saying, "There is now a live planning application for the proposed development, which will be considered in due course".
The properties have been the subject of dispute for years over proposed development projects, including a Wal-Mart retail store proposal in the early 1990's.
He said: "Ministers have recalled Dart Energy's planning appeal for the proposed development of coal bed methane production at a number of sites in central Scotland.
The development can be progressive and carried out in a series of further phases, eventually providing 40,000MW of power," says the technical data for the proposed development.
In part because of the current drought, planning departments have taken note that water usage and availability must be carefully considered for every proposed development.
"If we get even one more car, that's unacceptable," said Laura Kaye, who lives at the corner of Pleasant Avenue, the point of entry for the proposed development.
