This work presents a follow-up case study of the proposed model design methodology following the Model-View-Control design pattern to develop closed-loop models using IEC 61499 function blocks.
We choose the follow-up case study approach as '…an empirical inquiry that investigates a contemporary phenomenon within some real-life context and a methodology involving multiple sources of data which provides the fullest understanding of the phenomenon and improves the validity of research implications through triangulation' (Scudder and Hill [1998]; Yin [1994]).
