The slower rate of γ-H2AX foci loss in hair bulbs compared to lymphocytes may be due to a lack of repair in hair differentiating hair cells or to the inability for these cells to be removed, in contrast to the constant cleansing of the blood of severely damaged lymphocytes [27], [28] (Fig. 3B and 3C, arrows).
DNA repair status of cells influences significantly γH2AX foci loss.
Interestingly, it was shown that after IR action, the kinetics of γH2AX foci loss was strongly dependent on the dose, and the efficiency of DSB repair became lower with the decrease of IR dose.
Since HR repairs only ∼15% of the IR-induced DSBs in G2, and since γH2AX foci loss monitors all repair events, that is, NHEJ and HR, we sought alternative techniques, which would more specifically measure HR of IR-induced DSBs in G2.
In contrast to these results, it was shown using life imaging of human cells expressing YFP-53BP1 that marked the sites of DSBs that the efficiency of 53BP1 foci loss did not differ in the dose range 5 mGy–1 Gy (Asaithamby and Chen 2009).
We determined that the loss of γH2AX foci occurs with an half-life of approximately 6 h in control LCLs, but foci levels at this time for the RS1 cell line were still as high as the control levels at 0.5 h and 1 h following IR, and had a half life for foci loss that was much slower than that of controls over the first 8 h.

When the conditions are right, according to the Microsoft Studios researcher Sean Baron, people experience extreme focus, loss of awareness, distortion of the experience of time, and "the experience of the task being the only necessary justification for continuing it".
Subsequently, many improved methods have been proposed to design a new focusing matrix without focusing loss or with smaller bias, such as rotational signal-subspace [9], two-sided correlation transformation [10] and so on.
Further transient analysis of three major accidental scenarios, i.e., beam focusing, loss of heat sink, and beam intensity jump, indicates that the beam focusing accident gives the most serious safety concern.
Focus loss may be because of non-repair events that contribute to assay background.
In the case of osteoarthritis or traumatized cartilage, a focused loss of proteoglycans and/or collagens is believed to favor the egress of cells from the matrix [ 65- 67].
