Applications of the mathematics of chaos are highly diverse, including the study of turbulent flow of fluids, irregularities in heartbeat, population dynamics, chemical reactions, plasma physics, and the motion of groups and clusters of stars.
The presence of extensive calcification, septa with irregular walls thicker than 1 mm or associated with solid elements at their attachments, hyperdense fluid with irregularity of contour or hazy margination, internal haemorrhage or debris, and thickening or irregularity of the wall or any evidence of solid tissue within the wall distinguish complex from benign cysts (Fig. 1a c) [3].
The along-strike heterogeneities found here, particularly the localized heterogeneities observed for Shikoku and Kii-Tokai, indicate that the local clustering properties of tremor activity are affected by several factors other than temperature, such as pore fluid pressure and geometrical irregularities, including subducting seamounts or oceanic ridges.
In 1961, Orchard [1] was the first to note that the leveling dynamics is controlled by an interplay between surface tension, with capillary forces tending to reduce surface irregularities, and the fluid viscosity limiting the flow induced by that leveling.
This may have added irregularities in individual fluid management and thus urine output during that period.
Wall thickening and irregularity, hematic content and surrounding fluid suggest acute complication.
But irregularities in a surface can cause fluid that is running smoothly along that surface in the so-called "boundary layer" to swirl away from it.
The fluid serves as a new corneal surface, masking its irregularities and improving vision.
Clinical investigations also show irregularities in NE content in the blood and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) of older and patients with AD (Peskind et al., 1995; Szot et al., 2000), and a marked NE deficiency or norepinephrinergic neuron loss in the autopsied hippocampi and loci coerulei (LC) of AD patients (Chan-Palay & Asan, 1989).
Irregularities in seafloor topography could also contribute to heterogeneity in fluid pathways along subduction interfaces.
