The Behavioural Activation System (BAS) dysregulation theory proposes that AM levels in individuals with Bipolar Disorder, are hyper-reactive to relevant cues and prone to fluctuation such that excessive levels underpin hypomania/mania.
Regarding the former, the results of each model were compared with certain empirical regularities of economic fluctuations, such as the cyclical pattern that the short term component must keep, the importance of long and short term shocks, as well as a sensitivity analysis with other traditionally used methods.
