Tobacco anthers were collected at flower lengths of 0.2, 0.5, 1, and 3 cm, fixed with Carnoy's Fluid (ethanol: glacial acetic acid = 3 1) for up to 24 hours at room temperature, and then preserved in 70% ethanol at 4°C.
