The Garo-Rajmahal gap lies between the exposed Peninsular Shield and the Shillong Shield, which corresponds to a shallow buried basement ridge named as the Platform flank zone (Desikacher 1974; Khan 1991).
Water saturation increases from 10% in the southern flank to 30% in northern flank as well as from west to east The NTG is about 90% 95% in the western half and is variable in the eastern half; it varies from 80%to100%0% in the southern limb, from 60%to42%2% in the northern flank Zone 1 2 It is 28 m thick.
These three zones (Fig. 2) are (1) a platform flank zone in the west, the Dinajpur Shield and Platform; (2) a central deeper basin, the Bengal Basin; and (3) the folded belt in the east, identified as the Chittagong Tripura Fold Belt (Khan 1991; Khan and Chouhan 1996; Alam et al. 2003).

Comendite flows, which commonly have a glassy selvage at the base, account for 75% of the lavas in the flank zone.
Cells were incubated for 10 min at 37°C and then 100 ng ml−1 of a PCR product containing the cat cassette plus the flanking zones of the gene to remove were added, followed by 40 min incubation at 30°C and then 70 min at 37°C.
The transitional alkaline olivine basalt groups are interpreted to delineate a fossil southward propagating rift flank volcanic zone located east of a now extinct and buried mature rift zone.
Conceptually, a steep drop in 5′ read density should be seen on the right flank of the zones, starting beyond ten nucleotides upstream from the location of probe 3′ ends, as a direct consequence of DSN's minimum requirement of ten consecutive matching base pairs for degradation [ 19].
For uniformly distributed season length with a very steep left flank, the transition zone is characterised by a peak in the amount of resources invested into reproduction of sexuals at the beginning of the transition phase.
An additional 1.92 Mb passed our depth and quality filters, exceeding the number of targeted base pairs by nearly 50% due to coverage in the "splash zones" flanking the targets.
