When the map-matching technique with the personalized stride length measurements was applied, RescueMe fixed the drifting walking path to the correct one, i.e. the corrected path produced by map-matching exhibited right angles correctly corresponding to the hallways corridors where we walked, as shown in this diagram.
As with genetic drift, assortment could fix the new allele.
