The phrase "first mind" is not commonly used in written English.
It may be used in informal or dialect speech, but it is not considered standard or grammatically correct. A better alternative would be "initial thought" or "first instinct." Example: "My first mind was to run away, but I knew I had to face the consequences of my actions."
