Discussion on the problem of access to finance by SMEs in Mozambique has taken place in form of seminars and several debates for the purpose of improving the finance line for SMEs and to formally integrate their contributions in the economy (MIC, 2007).

Only 5%% of the SMEs are financed through banking institutions meaning they use other financing lines for both investment and working capital (MIC, 2007).
It's just they don't, they can't rely on the financing lines to be there to help them when things are going up and down in their normal business cycles.
