This finding is lower than findings from similar studies in Swaziland, 60% [ 24]; Uganda, 59% [ 9] and 72% [ 30]; and Canada, 69% [ 4]; while it is higher than the figures derived from studies conducted in Tanzania, 36% [ 14]; Uganda, 10% [ 12], 19% [ 31], and 29% [ 11] and Malawi, 17% [ 5].
To aid the interpretation of findings, expected diabetes-related outcomes with 95% CIs are shown in all figures derived from model results set at average covariate levels for each weight trajectory class within each age sex strata.
These direct costs were calculated from estimates of non-reimbursed CT treatment costs in Sweden (figures derived from CT associations/representatives), i.e. Swedish massage 44 €40000 SEK), manipulative therapy 57 €52020 SEK), shiatsu 53 €48080 SEK), acupuncture 35 €32020 SEK), and qigong 48 €44040 SEK) in relation to the average number of CT treatments provided in the IM model (Table 4).
Secondly, the utility figures are derived in completely different ways.
This is interesting to note as one set of figures was derived in a technologically advanced city from an industrialised country, and the second comes from a single hospital study in Karachi, while our figures refer to four public hospitals in a border province of Pakistan.
The three curves in this figure are derived in the same way as in Figure 4, with the difference that the upper curve is associated with the lower bound for R1 and the lower curve is associated with the upper bound.
That figure was derived in part from the growth in U.S. plastic waste since the 1960s, as measured by the Environmental Protection Agency.
