To solve the point at issue, the COA was proposed in this work: an outer-contour matrix of an initial design was reconstructed then, it was modified by the amounts of offset-ratio that can be calculated using the relation of a pattern size, a designed figure size, and a voxel size.

If we knew the "Figure, Size, Texture, and Motion of the minute Constituent parts of any two Bodies", we would then be able to derive tertiary qualities; we would be able to deduce that opium causes sleep, and we would understand why (E IV.iii.25, pp. 555 56; see also E IV.iii.13, p. 545).
They further reported a dependency of modulation strength on the figure size.
Since the surround inhibition depended on stimulus size, figure-ground segregation failed when the figure size approximated the background size.
Willcox went from a being a very successful full figure, size-14 model to an out-of-work model at size 8. "It was really hard to go from being a successful plus size model to only having a few clients, and I couldn't understand it because I looked better and I felt so much better -- but I was not valued at a healthy size," said Willcox.
To test the model behavior for stimulus size we applied different figure sizes.
In addition, figure-ground segmentation depends on the size of the figure region and drops with increasing figure sizes (>8° 12°).
Either the designer will be forced to present less information on the screen or decrease the size of the information (e.g., reduce text and figure sizes).
