The performance of individuals in the ABLA test is a reliable predictor of the type of task they are able to perform (Martin, Yu, & Vause, 2004), which means that the participants of this study had sufficient repertoires to perform the tasks proposals in the procedure (select a figure faced with the presentation of an auditory sample).
Figure 1 depicts the presentation of the stimuli on the screen.
We preferred not to include the non-responsive and non-selective neurons in this main figure to make the presentation of texture preference mapping clearer.
We keep this approach in tables and figures to facilitate the presentation of the data, analysis, and discussion.
At the end of the presentation, check back with the individual to ensure that the question you wrote down is what they wanted to know and that they still care (people often figure out by the end of the presentation that they really didn't need to know the answer to the question they asked).
A trial (see figure 1) started with the presentation of a central fixation cross, followed 1200 to 1700 ms later (determined randomly) by the cue, presented 50, 100, 150 or 200 ms before target appearance.
