What came next underlined what old-school socialists would call fellowship: the feeling of being among like minds, and taking inspiration from them.

The path to that choice is smoothed by the first person plural "we're" ("We're... feeling sensitive") which creates a fellowship by claiming a knowledge she couldn't possibly have.
"I just felt it was important to write and talk about these things, because we all benefit from a sense of fellowship, that you are not alone when you are feeling these awful, awful sadnesses," he says.
