In an election season made rancid first by the demonization of Latino immigrants and then by a race to the bottom rungs of nativism among the leading Republican candidates, it felt past time to hear from Latino voters.
But Laudrup feels past results will have little bearing on Saturday's encounter against Mark Hughes's side.
"Outside feels like an accelerated present taking us toward some exciting future, but once you step inside it feels like the past — it's as if Twitter doesn't exist, it's as if Facebook never happened, it's as if Pixar never happened," he said.
"It doesn't feel like a documentary about the past, it feels like a film about today.
To be honest, even talking about Annihilation now is strange because it feels like the past; it was a long time ago.
