Giving feedback to your employees, particularly when their performances fall short of expectations, is one of the most critical roles you play as a manager.
(Six months is OK, but a year or more is too long). How often do you give critical feedback to your employees; and do they actually change afterwards?
Whether you manage or coach leaders, or are just trying to provide some feedback to your own boss, there are some simple points you may wish to consider in order to have this difficult (but necessary) conversation.
Although sometimes difficult, it is critical that you find positive, constructive ways to communicate your needs, be graciously open to the advice that you're given, and give positive feedback to your mentor when such advice hits the mark.
If you would like to refer a patient to Grand Rounds, you will be expected to prepare your patient for Grand Rounds, to accompany your patient, and to provide feedback to your patient based on the discussion at Grand Rounds.
