The initially 10-day-old turtles (25.38 ± 1.29 g initial body weight) were fed with two conventional feeds, namely fresh feed from minced fresh fish and vegetable (diet 1), and fresh feed from minced fish fillet, vegetable and artificial feed (diet 2).
The kinematic profiles described how the effect of the specificity of the emotional context for feeding, namely a modulation of accuracy requirements, occurs.
Several concerns have also been raised about this alternative approach to complementary feeding; namely that BLW could increase the risk of iron deficiency, choking and growth faltering in infants [ 12, 18, 23].
The leucine tracer indicated that whole body protein synthesis and degradation and amino acid oxidation were unaltered, but the protein balance was negative during hypocaloric feeding, namely −0.3 ± 0.5 versus 0.6 ± 0.5 mg leucine/kg/h (P < 0.001).
The anti-inflammatory effect of dietary ITF was demonstrated in pathological conditions, such as obesity, diabetes or intestinal inflammation (Cherbut et al, 2003; Cani et al, 2006; Cani et al, 2007) and this effect was related to the microbial changes induced by ITF feeding, namely to an increase in bifidobacteria and lactobacilli (Louis et al, 2007).
As shown in Table 5, body weight, weight gain and food intake were significantly affected by genotype as well as the feeding regimen, namely the pair feeding versus ad libitum in obese rats.
Three different feed stocks namely Bombay crude, Araby crude and Nigeria crude were considered in this work along with various binary combinations of these crudes.
