Finally, it was found that patterning multiple layers of masks improved the erosion resistance without compromising the feature width, enabling the AJM of higher aspect ratio features.
Moulding micro features with a high aspect ratio is a critical task, in particular when the feature width is small, due to a faster temperature decrease than in macro/meso scale cavities.
The results presented show that this method is capable of generating strip-like (or beam) designs with specified feature width, which have highly desirable characteristics and practical benefits and uniquely distinguish the proposed method.
