This paper describes an experiment in which head profiles with the highest, technically feasible resolution were obtained using Westbay® multilevel systems (MLS) installed in 15 cored holes at three sedimentary rock research sites with contrasting geologic and flow system conditions.
A moderate number of 100 wavelengths were selected in the range of 400 800 nm for the following analyses based on considerations of the accuracy and efficiency of inversion and experimentally feasible spectral resolution.
