All the protective relaying functions such as fault detection, fault classification, faulty phase identification and fault location estimation have been considered in this work.
From the above discussions on backup fault detection, parent bus identification, determination of the faulty branch, classification of faults and detection of power system contingencies, it is inferred that the SPC takes an appropriate decision for enhancing the security and dependability attributes of the protection system using wide-area current phasor measurements.
