In this paper, a new parametric model-based filter is proposed for impact-induced fault intensity measurement.
However, most of the existing methods suffer from the defect that their performances are not stable when the fault intensity increases.
The resulting 3-D model constitutes an image of the fault zone architecture within the granitic massif that honours hard and soft data and provides an evaluation of the spatial variability of structural heterogeneities based on the computation of 3-D experimental variograms of Fracture Index (fault intensity) data.
Many existing NHPP software reliability models [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26] have been carried out through the fault intensity rate function and the mean value functions (m(t)) within a controlled testing environment to estimate reliability metrics such as the number of residual faults, failure rate, and reliability of software.
Many existing NHPP software reliability models [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28] have been used through the fault intensity rate function and the mean value functions m(t) within a controlled testing environment to estimate reliability metrics such as the number of residual faults, failure rate, and reliability of the software.
The active faults that host these activities have not been investigated to determine their subsurface geometry, faulting intensity and constituents (fluids, sediments) for proper characterization of tectonic rift extension.
Numerous studies have shown that the fracture intensity in a fault zone often increases towards the fault core, and with increasing fault displacement (e.g. Faulkner et al. 2011; Hull 1988; Reyer et al. 2012; Shipton et al. 2013).
In layers 1 and 2, the fracture orientations are comparable and the fracture intensity increases towards the fault core.
In the Cleebourg outcrop with fault zone exposure, the mean fracture intensity is 3.3 m−1 in the damage zone and, in two of three measured layers, shows increasing fracture intensity towards the fault plane (Fig. 7).
Since fracture intensity and apertures in Cleebourg increase towards the fault plane, calculated fracture permeabilities follow this same trend.
The fracture intensity is comparable among the outcrops, but significantly increases in Cleebourg where a fault is exposed.
