The objective of this work is to develop a methodology for the enzymatic acylation of cellulose with long chain fatty groups in one step.
The subjects were randomized to one of the following groups: fatty fish group (n = 11), lean fish group (n = 12) or control group (n = 10).
PSIL and CNR were not significantly different in these 27 compared with the non-fatty group (n=90).
R 2 and R 3 depict a fatty acyl group and a polar group, respectively.
In the second step, the release of AMP occurs concomitantly during thioester bond formation between the fatty acyl group and the sulfhydryl group of coenzyme A in the second step [23].
Group 1 ALTs primarily generated 14 1 β-keto fatty acids, Group 2 ALTs produced 6 10 carbon fatty/β-keto fatty acids, Group 3 ALTs predominantly produced 12 14 carbon fatty acids, and Group 4 ALTs mainly generated 16 carbon fatty acids.
Multiple bioactive lipid species, including ceramides, lysophosphatidylcholines and diacylglycerols, decreased significantly in the fatty fish group, whereas in the lean fish group cholesterol esters and specific long-chain triacylglycerols increased significantly (False Discovery Rate q-value <0.05).
Multiple bioactive lipid species, including ceramides, lysophosphatidylcholines (lysoPC), DGs, phosphatidylcholines and lysophosphatidylethanolamines, decreased significantly in the fatty fish group, whereas in the lean fish group cholesterol esters and specific long-chain triacylglycerols increased significantly (Table 4 and Figure 3).
The fatty acyl group is then transferred to the thiol group of the CoA acceptor to form fatty acyl-CoA with the concomitant release of AMP [12].
Interestingly, serum amylase values were lower in the fatty pancreas group as compared to the normal pancreas group (p <0.01).
