"We wanted to start a project that could be more all-encompassing," DiCampo told me, "we wanted a collection of images that showcased Africa's familiarity and normalcy as we are used to seeing it".
The tangible on the program things was a familiarity with what we're doing and how we're doing it - on time and attention to detail.
And so, when it finally happened, because it was bound to happen, we all knew it was only a matter of time, we felt, in the midst of our curiosity and terror, a certain calm, the calm of familiarity, we knew what was expected of us, at such a moment.
