Fake wrote early checks to Kickstarter and Etsy, among tens of others; Engeström's various bets include a startup called Applifier that sold to Unity Technologies; Moves, an activity tracking app acquired by Facebook; and the popular clothing label Betabrand.
"The altering possibilities modern technology enables are causing some viewers to believe the video of Terry is a fake," wrote the Inquisitr.
Perhaps most confusing of all: Unlike cyber-shillers, who are paid (however cheaply) to produce false content, these reviewers had no financial incentive to post fake write-ups about these products.
So, the development team started on working on a fake written language by combining the alphabet and visual structure of over eight different world languages (English, French, Finnish, Latin, Ukrainian, Cebuano, Fijian and Tagalog).
