Informed by this observation, both the research team and the facilitation-implementation team concentrated on team-building activities at Site E, and on trying to convince team members at Site D regarding the evidence for the algorithm, as well as reaching out to the Site D leadership to educate them.
The three main activities each cluster initially undertakes includes (1) mobilization of people and resources and analysis of activities, (2) preparation and facilitation of implementation of short term activities, and (3) identification and facilitation of implementation of long-term strategic activities.
Our study further highlights the importance of adequately resourcing facilitation of implementation alongside the research [ 29].
Those costs would not arise in the facilitation intervention implementation if it were to be adopted on a widespread basis.
