In this report we present the clinical and radiographic outcomes of our procedure of arthroscopic cartilage regeneration facilitating procedure (ACRFP) for OA knees involving mainly medial and patellofemoral compartments.
In this report, we propose a concept of arthroscopic cartilage regeneration facilitating procedure (ACRFP) that combines arthroscopic medial release (AMR), percutaneous lateral release (PLR) and conventional debridement as a rationale for the deliberate arthroscopic management of OA knee.
According to the experience of performing this procedure, the data support our contention that arthroscopic cartilage regeneration facilitating procedure (ACRFP) is a good modality for the treatment of osteoarthritis of the knee joint if only medial and/or patellofemoral joint were involved.
