This module consists of a genomic interval in chr4:133–142 Mbp and five correlated traits, namely pain response (thermal nociception [ Philip et al., 2010]), lens weight (Zhou and Williams, 1999), eye weight (with or without correction for brain weight [ Zhou and Williams, 1999]), and ethanol response (place preference [ Cunningham, 1995]).
Both of these species are small bodied and small gaped (Japanese White-eye: weight 10 12 g, culmen 10 11 mm; Red-billed Leiothrix: 20 23 g, 10 12 mm).
