Mf1, the murine homologue of FKHL7, is expressed in the developing brain, skeletal system, and eye, consistent with FKHL7 having a role in ocular development.
Of particular interest to this study was the conserved expression of CPA6 posterior to the eye, consistent with a role for CPA6 in the etiology of Duane syndrome.
