Moreover, 5- and 10-year primary and secondary patency rates were significantly better when externally supported grafts were used as compared with those without external support (80.1% and 69.9% versus 61.1%andd 21.1%, P <.01; 88.8% and 75.9% versus 78.9%andd 45.4%, P <.05, respectively).
