In surfing you have to be able to master the same things — your stance, your balance over your feet, the twisting and compressing and extending your legs.
Once your feet and back can't extend any farther, slowly bring your feet back, bending your knees, and then extending your legs back to 45 degrees (d).
Push down with your hips while extending your legs, to help maintain your balance.
