In adult organs, Alkbh1 was highly expressed in testis (RQ = 44.0), with slightly lower expression in eye, brain and kidney (RQ = 16.0, 14.4, 14.4) (Fig. 2C).
To assess the role of Dnmt2 in Rb transcription, we monitored Rb and PCNA expression in eye imaginal discs lacking Dnmt2 through RNAi.
CG32396 has a testis-specific expression pattern in adults, with very low expression in the adult eye and no detectable expression in eye imaginal discs by RT PCR.
We quantified Tau transcript expression in eye discs from two of the five site-specific lines, 68A and 86F, relative to GFP, as before.
The genes PRPF3 and PRPF31 show distinct, tissue-specific expression in eye tissues with negligible expression in non-ocular tissue; disease genes with similar expression profiles are ranked very highly by our methodology.
The expression pattern of the Acsl4a and Acsl4b is highly similar being highly expressed in all tissues here analyzed with a slight decrease in gut and liver and low expression in eye.
