"Just because I'm a girl, doesn't mean I want a V-neck, slim fitting version of the men's design in a leopard print pattern," explains the designer, who has hypebeasts falling over themselves for her repurposed Nike designs.
And while it is true that Mr. Armani and his publicists have cultivated the allegiance of these stars over the years -- wardrobing them, flying them to Milan runway shows or exotic destinations where the designer has vacation houses, treating them, in short, like royalty -- the assiduous courtship does not in itself explain the designer's formidable drawing power.
In addition, this chapter explains the designer's intent, or being defensive, as it is very difficult to moderate test sessions when one is designing the product because he/she is too familiar with it.
"From a sustainability point of view, these materials have a lot of possibilities," explains the designer, known for creating spaces that are warm and usable rather than grand and showy.
Fesenko explains the designers were happy to work with MIKA, because so much online fashion is offered at discounts, as with excess inventory.
"We walked around the city for a few weeks looking for the right building," explained the album designer, Peter Corriston.
"We have a really wild and crazy name, but we sell mainly conservative underwear," explained the owner and designer Claudia Kleinert.
