A new HBS paper says that the best way for food enthusiasts to perform like expert tasters is to let go of buzzwords and make taste a visual experience.

A wine deemed to be a good 90 would be rated as an acceptable 86 by the same judge minutes later and then an excellent 94. Each year Virginia Wine holds the esteemed Governor's Cup, a competition judged by 18 expert tasters who score the wine on a 100-point scale.
