Novices employing expert item categorization groupings performed significantly better on evolution problem solving tasks (Fig. 1).
To be sure, a greater discussion surrounding the input parameters and causal relationships is inevitable, but if a consensus can be found then, by definition, we have a template for a database design that can be used by experts in categorization, exposure assessment and toxicology.
The animal was already expert in the categorization of images by means of saccadic eye movements (monkey M1 in [4]).
People are becoming a critical component: analysts who understand why a particular type of music appeals to some people, categorization experts who know how to cross-reference material, retail executives who tweak the system to improve the bottom line and reviewers who check for nonsensical or offensive results.
Meanwhile, data mining methods may support the experts in the categorization and analysis of trajectories of care [ 15].

In addition to our exploration of individual card sort rules and their use by experts and novices, we quantified card sort performance by scoring categorization features as expert (+1) or novice (−1; as discussed above and illustrated in Table 1).
Remarkably, some novices exhibited expert-like evolutionary problem categorization and solving abilities within the first year of their academic careers (see also Smith 1983, for similar findings in the domain of genetics).
Due to these concerns, the current experiment used a word list based on previous expert reports together with a categorization task that had a full range of emotion type options, in order to provide a more controlled experimental setting (see below for details of experimental methods).
