QTL analyses for phenology and plant production traits were carried out for all the three experiments (trial 1 3), whereas QTL analysis for physio-morphological traits was done only for the experiment conducted in MSE (trial 1).
In one series of laboratory experiments (Trial 1), various concentrations of Se (2.5, 8.5, 25 and 85 mg g−1 DW) were applied to Chlorella cultures under low irradiance of 250 µmol photons m−2 s−1 to determine effective Se dose that inhibits photosynthesis and subsequently growth and correlate these variables with Se uptake.
In the other series of laboratory experiments (Trial 2) the concentration of 16 mg Se g−1 DW was used under various light intensities (250, 500 and 750 µmol photons m−2 s−1) to study the irradiance-dependent rate of Se uptake.
I'm not saying this to criticize myself by any means- this was all part of the process and this whole spiritual journey of mine has been a series of experiments, trial and error, figuring out who I am and what it means to be happy.

When we compared the number of trials necessary to reach criterion in Experiment 1 (when all numerical and non-numerical cues were available) and Experiment 2 (where only numerical cues were available), we found no difference between experiments (trials in Experiment 1: 25.2±11.7; trials in Experiment 2: 29.14±9.7; F(1,33) = 1.064, p = 0.170; power = 0.170).
In predictive spatial cueing experiments, trials begin with either a central or a peripheral cue, followed by a target, to which a speeded response is often required.
In the verbal response experiments, trials containing saccades or accidental utterances were discarded, and re-presented at the end of the session.
As in the previous experiments, trials were spaced by 10 min. The odorants, sucrose concentration and shock intensity were the same as before.
In the saccade experiments, trials containing saccades before the offset of the fixation dot, or small saccades (<1 deg), or ocular artifacts (e.g., eye blinks) were discarded, and re-presented at the end of the session.
After much experiment, trial and error, I wrote Aubrey's life as a diary.
